SGLA is a landscape design and construction business. Our designs are responsive to brief, budget, site and client. We can offer a complete landscape package from beginning to end, including design work, project management/construction, planting and maintenance.
We believe that landscape design should compliment the architecture of the house as well as the natural environment. We focus on quality spaces that are both beautiful and functional by using clean lines, well thought out planting schemes and quality materials.
What ever the space we can design and build a garden to suit your needs.
Cam or Matt will arrange a meeting to discuss your ideas and vision for your landscape design. During this time they will explore budget and confirm key elements for the design brief. This consultation will allow the designers to understand your main objectives so they can focus on a design that truly reflects your vision. A site investigation may also be documented at this stage.
Concept and design:
Once we get the go ahead for the design process we then start on your concept landscape design. This is an open and collaborative process between designer and client. This process can take 1-2 weeks and usually involves two on-site meetings.
After the landscape design is completed we will provide you with a computer generated set of plans and documentation including - Notated Construction Plan, Planting Plan and Schedule, Perspectives, Detail Drawings and Plant Appendix.
Once the design is approved, you will move into the second stage of design or construction. Stage two design may be required for the following reasons; building or resource consent is needed, you are using external sub contractors for the construction or for further details/additional sections and elevations of the site.
If you would like SGLA's construction team to build your landscape design we will provide you with a detailed estimate or quotation based on your pre determined budget. Because SGLA is a design and construction company your budget will be considered throughout the entire process, and it ensures that the design plan is followed and executed to the highest standard.
